Spencer Curnutt
Restaurant Manager
Spencer Curnutt brings over 15 years of hospitality experience to his role as Restaurant Manager here at Farmhouse at Descanso Gardens. His career has been shaped by working alongside respected chefs and restaurateurs who have become lifelong mentors. He helped open Magari, a Tokyo-Italian restaurant in Hollywood led by an acclaimed culinary team including Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient Yoshiyuki Okuno, James Beard Award winner Tony Messina, and Sicilian-born Chef Enrico Merendino. He has also worked alongside James Beard Award winning Chef Suzanne Goin and James Beard Award winning Restaurateur Caroline Styne at A.O.C. and the world-renowned Hollywood Bowl.
Originally from Indiana, Spencer’s love of food began at an early age, playing on his great-grandparents’ farm, shucking corn, picking vegetables from his mother’s garden, and helping his father grill in the backyard. These early experiences shaped his belief that food brings people together and, like any meaningful art form, has the power to change lives.
Today, Spencer is proud to work alongside Chef Rich Mead, Chef Adam Cherney, and the entire Farmhouse team, creating memorable experiences for every guest.
